IT Project Manager for Fintech Startup

Location:

Remote with periodic travel to company headquarters in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland

Position and Company Overview

Cambrist is a fast-growing B2B FinOps/Regtech startup in the data processing and crossborder payments domain, whose technology and services support retail banks and processors across Europe and as far afield as the United States, Canada and South Africa.

To support our accelerated growth, Cambrist is recruiting an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team. The right person will have several years of experience working in IT projects both internally and with external clients, preferably within the financial services sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of the project implementation lifecycle, from sales-handover through to client acceptance.

  • Client facing role; you will be responsible for establishing, nurturing & growing key client relationships throughout a project’s lifecycle.

  • Produce concise project documentation (project plans, Gantt charts, status updates, etc) that focus all parties involved on the key project requirements & issues.

  • Lead project calls & meetings with both internal and external participants

  • Be responsible for monitoring the project timelines and associated budgets, with an ability to anticipate issues and escalate to management before urgencies become emergencies.

  • Develop strong problem-solver relationships within Cambrist’s IT & Operations team, as well as with our 3rd party partners.

  • Efficiently manage inbound operational escalations from partners, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

  • Produce & Distribute monthly SLA and operational reports for partners.

Requirements

  • Be pro-active with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Comfortable and confident to work with project team members both internally and externally (particularly with Cambrist’s banking clients).

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in IT project management during which you lead projects involving multiple cross-functional teams.

  • Industry experience in financial services, preferably with a background in payments.

  • International project experience, where project team members (particularly client-side) spoke English as a second language.

  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, young company environment.

  • Able to travel internationally for projects periodically (as required)

  • Experienced using MS Office and various project management software tools.

  • Enjoy working in small, focused teams where your contribution is key to the company’s success.

  • Be self-motivated and able to work well independently, without significant oversight.

  • Completed a university degree (level 6 or beyond).

  • Have full EU/Ireland working rights.
